Spectacular Kefir Drink

Make kefir with the freshest milk possible and add as many of the following ingredients as desired:
* 1 tsp. of unrefined flax seed oil
* Lecithin, which aids fat digestion, to taste
* Fiber, such as Nutri-Flax
* Probiotics (friendly bacteria)
* Natural flavorings or herbs such as stevia, nutmeg, cinnamon, non-alcoholic vanilla or natural fruit flavoring
* Fresh or frozen organic fruits, strawberries, raspberries, bananas, kiwi, mango etc.


Cool Kefir Dressing (No Oil)
* 2 cups fresh Kefir
* 1 heaping tbs. fresh parsley, chopped
* 1 heaping tbs. fresh chives, minced
* 1 heaping tbs. fresh lemon zest, finely chopped
* 1 heaping tbs. fresh garlic, finely chopped
* 1 tsp. sea salt
* 1/4 tsp. Herbamare TM
* 1/2 tsp. xanthan gum
1. Combine all ingredients (except xanthan gum) and blend thoroughly.
2. Slowly add xanthan gum and continue to blend until mixture thickens.
3. Full flavor will develop after 6 to 8 hours.
Note: Dairy products combine best with nonstarchy vegetables and acid fruits. Don't hesitate to add a little Flax Seed Oil to this recipe.

[1] Create a media skin folder (say wmskin) either in your Phone or Storage Card
[2] Copy the skin files to the directory you've created
[3] Run Registry Editor
[4] Go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ Microsoft* Windows Media Player 8\Parameters\Values\SkinDir"
[5] Edit value data to "\IPSM\wmskin\" or "\Storage Card\wmskin\"

To restore the Default Media Skin:

Change skinDir path to \Windows\

The plugin will only work on Smartphone 2003 phones
Unfortunately, as its these phones that have the ability to detected the backlight going out.

You need to install the plugin first then the hme files. Obviously you only need to install the plugin once.
Get the plugin from MadBeetle's Site, I hope it is working :-)

To install the plugin and the hme files you can do the following :

[1] Connect your phone to your PC and establish an active sync connection
[2] Using file explorer on your PC, copy the cab file to your mobile device into
... Storage\Windows\Start Menu\Accessories
[3] On your device open the accessories folder via the Start Menu.
[4] You will see the cab/hme file listed, select it and run it.

Its a plugin just like the other plugins, so you can't put other plugins over the top of it.

Windows CE is the operating system that is the basis for Windows Mobile. It is also directly used in some handheld models, consumer electronics, gateways, industrial controllers, Internet Protocol (IP) set-top boxes, voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) phones, and thin clients.

Until now, companies that modified this operating system for their own devices were required to share these changes. Microsoft said today that hereafter licensees will maintain ownership of their derivative code and will not be required to share modifications with Microsoft, partners or competitors.


What's New in Windows CE 5.0?

One of the most significant changes in Windows CE 5.0 is support for Direct3D Mobile (D3DMobile), a graphics solution built on DirectX, Microsoft's desktop technology. This will allow Windows CE devices to support even higher-performance graphics and multimedia, similar to a desktop experience, on small-footprint devices. Microsoft has also announced that D3DM will be added to Windows Mobile at some point.

It will also include networking performance improvements that Microsoft says will "dramatically" increase data processing speeds. In addition, Windows CE 5.0 will include Fast Start, which will noticeably decrease playback start time for multimedia content such as movies.

At its core, Windows Mobile 2003 is much closer to Windows CE than Pocket PC 2002 and Smartphone 2002 were. This means improvements made to Windows CE 5.0 can be much more easily included in future versions of Windows Mobile than had been possible before.

Famatech announces the release of version 2.2 of Remote Administrator (Radmin). Radmin 2.2 is a solution to ever growing requirements and escalating security threats. This new version ensures the secure usage of Radmin even if a user is unconcerned about Radmin's security settings.

Radmin 2.2 includes new security module where the following improvements were implemented:

1. To prevent incorrect Radmin server configurations, it now cannot be used without a password or NT security. Blank password installs are no longer possible.

2. Smart protection from password-guessing. This protection includes such features as password anti-guessing security delays, banning IP adresses with excessive number of password guess attempts, etc.

3. Server password protection. Now the server software actively protects its settings, which are stored in the system registry. Only a user with administrator privileges can access this registry branch.

4. New, fully OS-integrated NT security system with NTLMv2 support. Now permissions for Radmin connections can be given to users from trusted domains and Active Directories. Also, our users will see a familiar security GUI from the Windows OS series.

5. Radmin server now starts as a service only on Windows NT/2000/XP, which improves security.

Tomorrow at CES it's likely that Bill Gates will further unveil parts of Microsoft's plans for the next generation of Windows Mobile. Currently in beta testing, Magneto is the code-name for what is expected to be finally named as Windows Mobile 2005.

Microsoft is progressing well with Magneto and is currently running a Beta 2 (v5.0.1512 Build 14207) dogfood test internally. The first release candidate of Magneto is expected on the 16th February with an RTM following on the 13th April. Currently Microsoft are only testing Magneto on the Motorola MPx220 Smartphone. This indicates that the device will be able to be upgraded sometime this year. It's unclear what others devices will be supported for upgrade.

Magento promises a lot of improvements from previous versions of Windows Mobile including some major UI overhaul. Microsoft are improving the contacts part of Windows Mobile. ActiveSync 4 (currently in beta at v4.0.0 Build 4200) will allow the synchronisation of Outlook contact pictures. This will be for both smartphone users and Pocket PC users. There will be improved finger accessibility of communications methods on Pocket PC and a new International address parser meaning that each country will be properly parsed and the addresses/phone numbers recognised.

Media support will be improved upon. Users will be able to watch a picture slideshow, send pictures via email, or set pictures as a homescreen background. Windows Media Player 10.x Mobile will ship with Magento with improved Media Library + Browsing, robust play list support, improved Media Sync, Album art and rating and improved skins. Improvements in Windows Media Player will allow for Pluggable file and streaming formats and codec's and Hardware decode assist. The latest Janus DRM support will also be available.

Pocket PC users will be pleased to hear that Microsoft are creating a "Pocket PC Persistent Store". The annoying thing with current Windows Mobile versions is the loss of data if you forget to charge your device, the Pocket PC Persistent Store will elimate this even if you don't charge. Pocket PC users will be able to use PowerPoint Mobile, to view decks on the go before presentations. Improvements in Word will allow users to View/edit text, charts, lists, bullets. Improvements in Excel will allow users to View/edit/roundtrip charts (bar, column, pie, area, line and scatter).

Internet Explorer Mobile will be improved upon. Full screen viewing, a progress bar to help users gauge download progress and a security icon to indicate when secure pages are being accessed.

Windows Mobile 2005 will support Wi-fi for smartphones. A big step and a big step in the right direction. WPA will be supported and users will be able to talk on their phones whilst using Wi-fi. Microsoft will actively support VoIP via Wi-Fi for Enterprise customers.

One of the most exciting things about Magento is the increased user interface customisation. There is a dialling canvas for UI and functionality, title bar icon flexibility and grid view for smartphones.
