Pardus is a new Linux live CD made in Turkey and based on Gentoo Linux. Version 1.0 is the first public release of the project: "Pardus Live CD, a bootable CD edition of the Pardus National Operating System, has been announced and distributed to the participants of Akademik Bilisim in Gaziantep University. The live CD includes Linux kernel (2.6.10) , office tools (word processor, spreadsheet editor, presentation tool, etc.), Internet tools (browser, e-mail, instant messaging, relay chat etc. clients), multimedia and graphics tools (video player, music player, etc.), games and lots of other applications. Total Commander is a replacement for Microsoft’s Windows Explorer.

Total Commander (formerly known as Windows Commander) is a replacement for Microsoft’s Windows Explorer. It basically offers the same functionality, i.e. the usual features to copy, move or delete files, and on top of that it can compare files, find duplicates and synchronize directories. Version 6.54 fixes some bugs and supports the formats bzip2 and ppmd which are generated by Winzip 10.

Besides that Total Commander (Publisher: Christian Ghisler) also lets you handle archives (ZIP, ARJ, LZH, RAR, UC2, TAR, GZ, CAB, ACE), rename groups of files and encode (and of course decode) files in UUE, XXE and MIME format. The file manager also offers:
